Tape to Dub-Plate is a series of royalty free drum loops recorded directly to tape, mixed using analogue outboard gear, mastered onto a 12" dub plate and finally sampled from that vinyl dub-plate.This series aims to give you the sound and vibe of the open hits and breaks that crate diggers spend so much of their time searching for, whilst offering the cleaner pre-mastered files for those who prefer that sound.

Volume 3 - 60's Drum Breaks
Volume three contains 30 original 60's inspired drum breaks, ranging from 82 to 132 bpm. Recorded directly onto analogue tape using one overhead and one kick drum microphone. Mixed using analogue compressors and eq's and a spring reverb before being sent to a Neumann cutting lathe.

Volume 4 - Drum Fills
Volume four contains over 100 original drum fills, ranging from 80 to 137 bpm. Recorded directly onto analogue tape using one overhead and one kick drum microphone. Mixed using analogue compressors and eq's and a spring reverb before being sent to a Neumann cutting lathe. The pack contains usable, musical and old school sounding drum fills.

Volume 5 - Afrobeat Breaks
Volume five contains 40 original 1970's afrobeat inspired drum and percussion breaks, ranging from 80 to 133 bpm. Recorded directly onto analogue tape using one overhead and one kick drum microphone for the drum kit, and one microphone for each percussion track - each of these individual microphone stems is also included along with each vinyl master, giving a total of 193 loops. Volume 6 - Brush Bap
Volume six contains 204 original drum breaks created using brushes. The tempos range from 85 to 100 bpm, and were specifically selected to represent the boom bap genre. Each break is provided as a pre-vinyl master and a vinyl-pressed version. Recorded directly onto analogue tape using three microphones, a close mic on the kick drum, a close mic on the snare and an overhead mic. Mixed using analogue compressors and eq's before being sent to a Neumann cutting lathe.
